At Step Up Family Organisation Uganda, our programs are designed to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to children and families in vulnerable situations, especially those affected by poverty, loss, or neglect.

Rooted in compassion and guided by faith, we take a holistic approach that not only meets immediate needs but also invests in long-term transformation. Our work spans across education, spiritual growth, family support, and community service, ensuring that no child is left behind and every family has a chance to thrive.

Education & Child Support

We believe every child deserves access to quality education and a safe, nurturing environment.

What We Do

  Run the Back to School Campaign providing school fees, uniforms, and supplies.​

Faith & Fellowship

Elderly & Family Care

Behind every vulnerable child is a struggling family or caregiver. We strengthen families to ensure no one is left behind.

What We Do

  Provide food packages, hygiene supplies, and support to widows and elderly caregivers.

  Offer companionship visits and home-based care support.

  Advocate for dignity, inclusion, and protection of the elderly in local communities.

Skills for Sustainability

We equip widows and caregivers in Busia with practical, income-generating skills that uplift families and reduce household vulnerability. These programs do more than teach a trade—they restore dignity, create economic independence, and build strong family foundations.
Through our community empowerment initiative, we provide hands-on training in:

• 🧵 Tailoring – Designing and sewing clothing items for home use and local markets.

• 🧼 Soap Making – Producing high-quality liquid and bar soaps for income and hygiene.

• 🎨 Craftsmanship – Creating handmade jewelry, baskets, mats, and home decor items.

• 🧺 Home-based Enterprises – Supporting small-scale businesses with training and starter kits.
