Welcome to Step Up Family Organisation
Step Up Family Organisation Uganda is a registered, nonprofit, community-based organization committed to supporting vulnerable children, widows, and the elderly in Busia District. Our mission is rooted in compassion, aiming to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to those most in need.
Our Story
Who We Are
Our journey began with a church initiative to care for vulnerable and orphaned children. The church provided premises to begin care services for the first 13 children, brought by the pioneering patron at that time. Over time, the patron parted ways to form a separate organization with similar goals.Â
To continue and strengthen the mission, four like-minded individuals came together to realign operations and formalize the organisation. The organisation was officially registered as a Community-Based Organisation (Cert No. CBS/038/23/25), and later under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (Reg. No. 80034899282707). All social and financial operations are run under the official name: Step Up Family Organisation.
